OAU on Matters Arising

Finally someone is making sense,I hope this gets to the right people because iyaf taya o

OUR PROTESTS AND PLACARDS CAN'T GET US ANYWHERE
The roaring situation at the Obafemi Awolowo University is very alarming.
This issue of bad welfare didn't just start in the administration of TY. It's been in existence for over 30 YEARS. I spoke with my uncle on this issue. He said in 1985 he went to OAU to visit a friend. He was pressed and had to use the toilet. It was that day he learnt the layers style. A style where you have to spread paper on another person's excrete before you can use the toilet.
Ever since then different Unions have been embarking on protests. Where has that gotten us to now? Previous protests have been bloody yet the students Union couldn't bring anything out of it. So which juju man is telling the present Union theirs would be a Success?
We are fighting professors here, great intellectuals. And we think we can win by noise?
Infact our present Vc is a professor of war and strategic plans. And we the students think we can defeat him at what he's best at?
Let us wake from our slumbers.
We need help!!
There are several ways to gain audience from leaders and human rights activists other than boycotting lectures, playing football at the Senate, singing abusive songs, blocking the school gate etc.
We are in an Era of DIALOGUE AND BRAINPOWER.
Why carry placards? Placards are  not as effective as petitions.
Through our petitions we can get to the president, governor, ministers, Efcc, human rights activists and the whole Nigeria at large. Letters upon letters should be written.
The present Union said they payed the fees of about 80 students. I'm not saying they have enough money but how much is it to publish articles on the newspaper, visit media houses to dialogue matters?
Newspapers will not even charge a dime for this. It would be published as headline news. Neither would the media houses.
I advice the students Union to write petitions and letters to the appropriate quarters . This is civil and this way we will win the war.
Please forward this till it gets to our leaders
